Hello,

Does anyone have or know of a source for sewing patterns for military BDUs
or other uniform items?

My reason for asking is that I find the BDU pants very useful, but the
cotton and nylon/cotton fabric are about the worst for cold and wet weather.
I have found some made of Epic (treated polyester fibers) material which is
ideal but they cost too much. That is part of the 7-layer PCU (protective
combat uniform) made by http://www.orcind.com/pages/SpecialForces.html and
the polartec aspects are mostly made by http://www.sekri.org/.

I figure the BDU pattern must be in the public domain since it is government
specified and widely used by many uniform manufacturers. If I can't find
anything handy I will have to disassemble a pair of BDUs and make a pattern,
but it would be nice to get the ready made pattern if at all possible.

Thanks for any help in this endeavor!
